Irene Mancanes: THE LEADER WITH THE HEART OF GOLD
We all know that Leader came to Manila for a Charity Concert, it was so kind of him and to even give us a few days of his hectic schedules just to help the needy. It sounds way to simple right? We have for a while knew of the burden SS501 and Hyun Joong as Leader were carrying because of the contract issue, but it didn't deter him to think of the less fortunate people and didn't have second thoughts of helping them.
It was a surprise for me, when I learned that he actually donated money of his own and gave it last May. He was actually doing good deeds amidst the contract issues, his accident, the release of Destination and it's promotion. He was one busy angel if I may say.
I don't know how many times I cried when I saw for the first time, that I knew was the fangirl in me. It took me five years to see him in person, I didn't mind because the wait was worth it.
And learning this angelic act and his generosity made me cry buckets more, and I know it was the mother in me that made me do that. I am so proud of knowing and loving the man we all came to know as Leader. He was something... He's too modest to brag about it and too humble to even talk about his good deed, what a fine and gentle person.
I am glad that my daughter Iccy looked at you as a role model and an elder brother, before she used to call you, "fiancee" but as the time come, she suddenly wanted to call you "Leader Oppa." You are the hero in her eyes and to the young mothers and children you were a life saver.
I know many of us were proud and thankful for what you did Leader, I am very proud of you. I can't thank you enough for choosing to help my fellow countrymen and for extending your generosity. I know this will not be the last, and you will still help people in need the best way you can, we promise to support you at all cost.
There can never be another person like you, I can't stop my tears as you sang Heal the World together with my fellow Filipinos and young children. I still think that everything was a dream that when I open my eyes everything will burst into bubbles.
But you are real Leader, you are flesh and blood. You are a human being being blessed with a heart of gold. I am proud to be a loyal fan of you. I know things were tough right now but you are strong, you know why?
Because you are KIM HYUN JOONG, Leader of SS501.
The last four days I spend following you and waiting for you at the lobby were the best days of my life as a devoted fan. For me, those were the days the earth stood still, time stop... All we know was you were right there in front of us, waving, nodding and flashing your ever famous killer smile.
I dreamed of seeing that smile for the past five years... And my God! I saw it at last, and you were standing a mere two feet away from me. The nod you gave to me when I greeted you and called you Leader and smiling after wards will forever be etched in my heart and in my mind.
In behalf of my fellow Filipinos and Triple S Philippines, thank you very much Leader, you truly is an angel... our very own RAPHAEL.
I WILL STAND BEHIND MY ONLY LEADER.
